MISSOURI CHAPLAIN SERVICES
There are times when we all need a caring friend. Sometimes disaster strikes without warning; other times the heroes in our life pass away and their service to the Nation needs to be honored. We're here to offer encouragement and support, and to connect you to caring friends nearby.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Making A Difference in Several Ways
There are three arenas of service Chaplain Gary uses to empower others to reach their highest potential.
FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF MARIONVILLE
The Local Church is the greatest resource available to a person, a couple, a family, and a community! The Bible is a sure foundation for life and service, and shared ministry is the arena of personal growth and service to others. Loving God and Loving our Neighbor is life's highest calling! VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS (VFW)
Commander, Post 4541
When World War I ended, veterans banded together to care for each other and their community. The VFW leads many community programs and POST 4541 cares for Veterans in Lawrence County, Missouri. Link to their website and facebook page here:
MISSOURI STATE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (SEMA)
Leader, Volunteer Chaplain Program
Clergy trained to provide Spiritual-Emotional Care in times of disaster are a vital resource. Chaplain Gary consults with and advises SEMA in recruiting, training, and deploying community minded Chaplains to assist local officials in stabilizing communities in crisis. WHO WE ARE
Chaplain Gary retired from the Missouri National Guard as the Senior Command Chaplain. He has decades of ministry experience and training in Congregational Leadership and Disaster Response. He has assisted many during times of Bereavement and Disaster.
Having served the nation and protected our freedoms, our Veterans are worthy of specialized attention to meet their unique needs. This care is part of our "Thank You" for their service.
And when a tornado, flood, ice storm, or other disaster strikes our community, we need the perspective and strength of our enduring Values and Faith.
